What color is that horse?

A reddish-brown quarter horse is a sorrel, while a reddish-brown Arabian is a chestnut. Both breeds consider a brownish horse with black legs to be a bay color

White Arabian horses are really considered to be a gray. When they were younger, they probably were gray. Arabians that are gray tend to turn lighter in color as they age.

And just what is a roan? Roans actually are a blend of two hair colors, such as red and white, which makes a strawberry roan.

A leopard is what an appaloosa is called when it has spots all over its body.

A Palomino is a golden color, and a buckskin is a tanish color. In the summer they both may fade so that it is difficult to tell the two colors apart. A true buckskin has a dark stripe that follows along its back.
